Ben joined TRI in 2007 after gaining ten years’ experience of food and beverage and hotel management operations within properties such as the luxury Boca Raton Resort and Club and The Breakers Resort and Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Further operational experience includes management positions with major restaurant chains in the UK and hotel operations in France.
As well as graduating with a First Honours Degree BSc in Hotel and Catering Management from the University of Surrey in 2005, Ben received the Accounting for Hospitality Managers Award from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute during his time in the USA.
- Ben has gained excellent knowledge of the UK and European hotel market having conducted feasibility studies and market analysis for independently-operated and branded hotels in all sectors from budget to luxury and extended-stay schemes; from stand-alone hotels to developments as part of internationally renowned mixed-use schemes.
- He has experience of most UK cities and internationally has conducted appraisals for new hotel developments in Poland, Gibraltar and Courchevel 1850, France.
- He has also carried out due diligence projects on hotel management performance for independent hotels and branded operators; for companies seeking planning permission as well as to assist in the financial restructuring of an entire hotel portfolio.
